The Black Bat Edition

What is painted, and what stays the same?
The console shell and both Joy-Con 2 controllers are painted. Nothing inside is changed. You keep:
- The larger, sharper Switch 2 screen.
- The new magnetic Joy-Con 2 controllers and all their features.
- Handheld, tabletop and TV modes.
- Access to Switch 2 games and your compatible Switch library.
Why paint instead of a skin?
Skins and stickers peel at the corners, lift around the Joy-Con rails and collect dirt. Paint becomes part of the console. It is applied in layers, sealed under a scratch-resistant coat, and has no edges to lift, so it still looks sharp after months of handheld play.
How to choose your edition
- For younger players and families: Super or Thunder, bright and full of energy.
- For a minimal look: The Black Bat Edition.
- For something bold and personal: I Am or Rocker.
- For a natural, textured feel: Stone Fuse.
