Craft by Merlin takes genuine iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max and turns them into hand-painted pocket art for people who care about performance and aesthetics equally. Inside, you still get Apple’s titanium Pro flagships: an aerospace-grade titanium frame with contoured edges that makes them the lightest Pro models so far, powered by the A17 Pro chip for next-level mobile gaming, fast everyday performance and power efficiency.
Both models feature Super Retina XDR displays with ProMotion up to 120Hz, Always-On mode and high peak brightness, in 6.1″ (15 Pro) and 6.7″ (15 Pro Max) sizes. The Pro camera system brings a 48MP main camera with multiple “virtual” focal lengths, advanced computational photography and improved low-light performance. No. Our process is designed so a Craft by Merlin iPhone behaves like a stock iPhone 15 Pro / Pro Max in terms of features:
- Apple Intelligence & Visual Intelligence: These features depend on the A17 Pro chip and iOS updates, which we don’t modify. If your region and language support Apple Intelligence, it will work as on any other 15 Pro series phone.
- Cameras & sensors: We mask all lenses, LiDAR, flash, microphones and Face ID sensors, so photo quality and depth features remain untouched.
- MagSafe / wireless charging: We do not interfere with the MagSafe ring or coil area, so accessories still snap on and charge as usual.
- Action button: The hardware remains fully functional and customisable; our paintwork never covers the button mechanism or its haptic feedback.
As with any customised device, we don’t re-certify the IP rating after painting, so we recommend treating it as water-resistant, not “indestructible”.

- Apply the artwork in multiple controlled layers
- Seal everything with a protective clear coat
This is meant for real-world use, not just display. That said, it’s still painted metal/glass:
- If you throw your phone into bags with keys or coins, use a case or sleeve to protect both the paint and the frame.
- Clean with a soft, slightly damp microfiber cloth only—avoid alcohol, acetone, glass cleaner or abrasive pads on the painted areas.
- Avoid hard drops or sliding it across rough surfaces; the finish is tough, but not immune to gouges.
