Apple AirPods Max

Yes. Every pair in the Apple AirPods Max Custom Collection starts as brand-new, genuine Apple AirPods Max. We only customise the exterior look. The internal hardware, audio quality, ANC, spatial audio, and pairing experience remain exactly as Apple designed them.

No. We currently do not customise customer-owned devices. All custom AirPods Max from Craft by Merlin are new units that we source and finish in-house, then ship to you as complete, ready-to-use headphones. This ensures consistent quality, clean finishes, and a smooth unboxing experience.

Our designs are planned around the original ergonomics of AirPods Max. The mesh headband, ear cushions, Digital Crown, and Noise Control button all remain fully functional. We customise the external cups and visible surfaces while keeping comfort, weight balance, and control accessibility exactly as they should be for daily listening and long sessions.

Treat your custom AirPods Max like any high-end accessory. Avoid harsh chemicals, alcohol-based cleaners, and abrasive materials on the customised surfaces. Wipe them gently with a soft, dry (or slightly damp) cloth and store them safely when not in use. Keeping them away from sharp objects and rough surfaces will help preserve the finish for years.

Our AirPods Max Custom Collection is designed to sit at the top of your audio stack—over-ear luxury that visually anchors your setup. You can then layer in AirPods Pro 3, AirPods Pro 2, and AirPods 4 for in-ear versatility, and match across platforms with Samsung Buds 3 and Buds 3 Pro. Finally, pair everything with a custom iPhone 17 Pro or iPhone 17 Pro Max from Craft by Merlin to create a unified, premium tech collection crafted in the same design language.
